By Caryn Gehlmann
Do you love the sentiment behind making your own essential oil DIY gifts? It’s a lovely way to show someone you love that you care enough about them to make them something special. It’s also a fun and affordable way to make small but thoughtful gifts for friends and family during the holidays, as party favors, or for other special occasions.
Of course, essential oil gifts work for someone who already loves essential oils. But they can also work for someone who has never used essential oils and you want a fun way to introduce them to the benefits of aromatherapy.
The holiday season is busy so it’s good to have aromatherapy gifts that are easy to make and to customize. Here are 3 ideas for easy essential oil DIY gifts along with a short how-to video for each one:
Winter Cheer Spritzer
You’ll need:

- 12-15 drops of e3 Protection Blend
- 5-8 drops e3 Revitalize Blend
- Water
Add the essential oils first and then fill the rest of the bottle with water. Shake the bottle and add your own label, if you’d like. We call it Winter Cheer, but you can pick your own name! This lovely gift can be used as a body spray or for the room. Your friends will love it since this is a cheerful, uplifting aroma also acts as a protection against germs!
Peaceful New Year Bath Salts
You’ll need:
- Small jar or glass container
- 1 cup of Epsom salts
- 1/4 cup of sea salt, dendric salt, or Himalayan salt
- 1/4 cup of baking soda
- 8-10 drops of e3 Peace Blend (or use lavender essential oil)
Add Epsom salts, sea salt, and baking soda to your container and then add the essential oil drops. Use a utensil to stir and then secure the lid. Add a label if you wish! Tell your friend they can add these bath salts to a warm bath to peacefully welcome in the New Year!
