Seeking Harmony in Life? Essential Oils Can Help!

This month I decided to interview myself! Well not really, I asked Jennifer, e3’s content editor to do the interview and she came up with some great questions! Sometimes I forget about all the things we have going on here at essential 3 that our customers may not even be aware that we’re doing. It’s important that we continue to communicate with you so we can keep supporting and learning from each other. We have really fun, new things in store for 2022!
What is your theme for 2022?
The last couple of years I’ve really enjoyed choosing one word to be the theme for the year. I find having a simple, positive message helps me stay focused on what’s important throughout the year. This year I decided the word will be Harmony.
I love how Melanie Koulouris captures the essence of this when she said, “Harmony is a beautiful balance between mind, body, and soul measured in tender peaceful moments.” That’s what I want to encourage myself and our e3 community to do…find those peaceful moments that offer moments of a feeling of balance.
So of course, when I think of harmony in life, essential oils come to mind. Not so surprising, right? It’s just that — beyond the therapeutic uses for each oil and the synergetic POW! that results from combining them skillfully — using essential oils remind us that it’s okay, and essential, to take time for ourselves, to slow down and be more self-compassionate. That’s how we’ll feel balance and harmony in life.
Do you have any new blends or products in the works?
Yes, we have quite a few new blends and products we’re currently working on that will be ready to share with you throughout 2022. We were inspired by classroom teachers to create a blend specifically for the classroom that will be released in the next few weeks. We also have an insect repelling blend that will be ready for use by this spring — even bugs get out of harmony with their ecology, and we can use essential oils to put them back in their place…away from us!
Another shift we’re making is to create more products that help evoke a sense of harmony in life encompassing mind, body, and spirit. It’s been a challenging couple of years, and we want to help people honor and support themselves with a new line of body oils and spritzers. These products will use blends like e3’s Harmony, Zen, and others that have really resonated with our customers this year.
Tell us about your work with private labels. How has that evolved recently?
For over a decade, e3 has enjoyed private labeling partnerships with small to medium businesses such as hospitals, wellness centers, spas, healthcare practitioners, and manufacturers. However, in the last few years, this part of our business has literally exploded. I think this is because many wellness practitioners, such as massage therapists and estheticians, are rethinking their business model and want their own brand of essential oil products specifically designed to support their unique clientele.
We absolutely love these partnerships! It’s been such a pleasure to work with professionals who are passionate about what they do and how they can best serve their community. We’ve recently created three different tiers of support so that our private-label clients can choose the best fit for their project. Some clients choose to white label e3’s existing blends to create their personalized products. Others are looking for something unique, so our e3 clinical aromatherapists work with them to create a brand new blend that meets their needs.
What do you have planned at your new location in Medford?
One of the reasons we chose this new location was that it had a great space to teach classes. Since education is such a focus here at e3, we wanted a location that would allow us to host aromatherapy classes. We’re waiting until indoor meetings are feasible, but are continuing to look at other ways to promote education, like my new Q&A with Caryn segment where I answer your essential oil questions.

We also like hearing from you about how, in your search for harmony in life, essential oils are helping. Is there a new essential oil or blend that’s working for you? We’d love to hear about it! Or sometimes it’s the way we use something. For example, I learned that people love our small face mask spritzers because they’re small enough to tuck into your pocket and use to sanitize your hands when you’re on the go. I would never have thought of that if several e3 customers hadn’t reached out to me and let me know.
