Highlighting YOU — the backbone of our e3 Community
By Caryn Gehlmann
One of my favorite things to do each month is to highlight a member of our e3 community. These interviews provide great insight from our customers on the ways they’ve been able to benefit from aromatherapy both personally and professionally. To start off the New Year, I decided to do something a little different. I want to share a broader perspective with you on how our e3 community as a whole has come together and supported one another through the craziness of 2020 and what we have to look forward to in 2021.
Today essential oils are more popular than ever before – you can even purchase them at your grocery store. But like so many other things, there’s a lot of misinformation about how to use them safely. One of the things that makes e3 different is our commitment to education. And you are the ones that make that possible! It’s your questions, your real-life feedback, your insistence on the facts, that has inspired us to provide educational blogs, social media posts, DIY tips, and more.
So please keep the questions and feedback coming! We love your emails, phone calls, and Facebook comments. They help us understand what you — our e3 community — are interested in knowing. We’re making a renewed commitment this year to use your questions as the basis for our upcoming blogs because chances are many others have the same questions you do!
You’re also the inspiration for our new products. 2020 was the year of new products as we all tried to quickly adapt to COVID-19 protocols. We heard from you about the need for surface sanitizers and hand sanitizers that didn’t include harmful chemicals, for aromatherapy products to help make wearing face masks more enjoyable, and essential oil blends that would strengthen our physical and emotional resilience.
As we look to 2021, we’re hearing that many of you are looking for ways to find moments of comfort or to share an aromatherapy hug with loved ones. We have new blends coming soon, Harmony and Zen, that we think many of you will find comforting. We’ve also designed an area of the website with ideas of how you can share the gift of an “aromatherapy hug” with your loved ones. Because this whole physical distancing thing has been a challenge, hasn’t it?
Our theme for 2021 will be Aromatherapy Comfort and how to be creative and flexible in how we find moments of comfort. 2020 offered us the opportunity to focus on our well-being in different ways. If you were a regular gym-goer, you’re now exercising from home. If you jumped on an airplane to visit your family, you may have opted to jump on Zoom instead. Our daily lives have been upended, but we can look at new ways to stay “sane” and find moments of comfort.
Aromatherapy is such a healthy, positive, and proactive way to find comfort. Most of us have had moments this year where we felt overwhelmed. But in those moments we can make the choice to refocus and recenter. Please read (or re-read) my post on The health benefits of diaphragmatic breathing. Inhaling a pleasant scent and taking a deep breath is such an easy way to get out of fight or flight mode and into a more relaxed state.
So thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping to make our e3 community a place where we can find reliable answers and moments of comfort! Please continue sharing your feedback with us, we’re listening!
