Essential Oils and Synergy Blends – Choose your favorite 3
Lavender French
Latin name: Lavandula angustifolia
Properties: Analgesic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, sedative
Minor cuts, scrapes or insect bite:
Band-Aid: Place 1 drop of essential oil on the pad of a Band-Aid; apply Band-Aid to the area in need.
Wash: Add 20 drops to a bottle with 1 pint warm water. Shake well, then pour the mixture through a coffee filter; store in a glass bottle. Use to clean cuts, scrapes and grazes.
Spot Application or insect bite: Mix 1-4 drops of essential oil in 1 teaspoon of carrier oil or aloe vera and apply to the area in need. To calm the itch of insect bites apply 1 drop “neat” (undiluted) directly to the bite.
Promote Calm after minor injury or accident: Put 1-3 drops of essential oil on a tissue and inhale the aroma through your nose. Pause and inhale again.
(Avoid touching your nose with the tissue.)
Skin Mist for minor burns (including sun & wind) or skin irritations: Mix 10-40 drops of essential oil in 4 ounces of water or aloe vera juice in a mister bottle. Shake well before each use and avoid getting the mist into the eyes.
Tea Tree
Latin name: Melaleuca alternifolia
Properties: Antiseptic, antispasmodic, digestive, sedative, calming
Spot Application for minor wounds: Mix 1-4 drops of essential oil in 1 teaspoon of carrier oil or aloe vera and apply to the area in need.

Bruise & Scar Roll-On
Ingredients: Cypress, Frankincense, Helichrysum, Ho Wood, Lavender, Petitgrain, Rose
Properties: Ease discomfort and inflammation, and minimize the appearance of a newly forming scar.
Bruises: Gently apply roll-on to area in need.
Scars: Gently apply roll-on to area in need. Massage area to help keep skin pliable and reduce tissue build-up, minimizing scars’ appearance.
Head Soothe
Ingredients: Chamomile Roman, Geranium Lavender, Peppermint
Properties: Soothe physical and emotional tension, relax tight muscles, calm anxiety and uplift mood
Compress: Fill a basin with water. (Warm water relaxes and increases circulation. Cool water invigorates and relieves inflammation.) Add 3-5 drops of essential oil and briskly stir. Lay in a washcloth, wring, and apply to the to back of neck or forehead for approximately 1-5 minutes. Dip, wring, and apply 3 more times.
Inhalation: Put 1-3 drops of essential oil on a tissue and inhale the aroma through your nose. Pause and inhale again.

Spot Application: Mix 1-4 drops of essential oil in 1 teaspoon of carrier oil or aloe vera and use to apply to upper back, neck, shoulders and temples.
Nausea Relief
Ingredients: Chamomile Roman, Elemi, Ginger, Peppermint
Properties: Calms and settles queasy or unsettled stomach
Inhalation: Put 1-3 drops of essential oil on a tissue and inhale the aroma through your nose. Pause and inhale again.
(Avoid touching your nose with the tissue.)
Regional Application: Mix 1-4 drops of essential oil in 1 teaspoon of carrier oil or aloe vera and apply to upper chest and abdomen.
Respiratory Blend
Ingredients: Black Spruce, Eucalyptus Citriodora, Eucalyptus Globulus, Eucalyptus Radiata, Lavender, Marjoram Sweet, Lemon Myrtle, Peppermint
Properties: Promotes relaxed breathing, ease congestion, and support immune system
Chest Rub: Mix 5-15 drops of essential oil in 1 tablespoon of carrier oil or fragrance-free, natural lotion, apply to upper chest and upper back.
Diffusion: Follow diffuser manufacturer’s instructions to fill the air with therapeutic aroma.
Easy alternatives when you don’t have a diffuser:
Place 2-4 drops of essential oil on several cotton balls or tissues; place nearby or tuck into the grate of a fan or air vent in your home or car.
Inhalation: Put 1-3 drops of essential oil on a tissue and inhale the aroma through your nose. Pause and inhale again.
