Essential Oils For Warts – Effective DIY Home Remedy

The common wart may be small, but if you’ve ever had one, especially as a teen, you know how agonizing it is! To see that rough bump on your face, fingers, or feet every day makes you want to curl up in embarrassment. And when someone notices it…you just want to run and hide. Plus they can become big enough that you catch and tear them…ouch! That’s why I’m so happy to say that essential oils for warts are very effective for helping make them disappear, but you have to be patient and consistent.

What are warts, and what causes them?
A wart is a skin growth caused by some types of the human papillomavirus (HPV) virus. Warts can grow anywhere on the body, but common warts are most often found on the hands and plantar warts grow on the soles of the feet.
Suggested essential oils for warts
Mix equal parts of your choice of any of the essential oils below. They all have anti-viral properties that get to the cause of warts. Choose an essential oil or blend of oils that smells good to you and use it two times a day.
Application Methods
Create your wart blend from the list of essential oils for warts from the list above and store in a clean dropper bottle.
- Saturate a clean Q-Tip with your blend of essential oils.
- Apply neat (undiluted) on affected area 2 times a day.
- Cover with a band aid.
- Consistency is key. If the area around the wart becomes irritated use lavender to soothe any redness.
- Repeat until wart disappears, this may take some time.
- Apply one to 2 drops on the inside of a small round bandage and apply directly over the wart.
- Repeat until wart disappears, this may take some time.
Recipe for children’s warts
If treating a child with warts, dilute 10 drops of Lemon and 5 drops and Cypress in 2 teaspoons cider vinegar.
Put in a clean bottle, shake well, use a cotton tip and apply to affected area 2 times a day.
If over 12 years of age, no need to dilute.
