By Caryn Gehlmann
The common wart may be small, but if you’ve ever had one, especially as a teen, you know how agonizing it is! To see that rough bump on your face, fingers, or feet every day makes you want to curl up in embarrassment. And when someone notices it…you just want to run and hide. Plus they can become big enough that you catch and tear them…ouch! That’s why I’m so happy to say that essential oils for warts are very effective in helping make them disappear, but you have to be patient and consistent.
A number of studies have shown essential oils to be effective for wart removal. Here are a few you can review:

What are warts, and what causes them?
A wart is a skin growth caused by some types of the human papillomavirus (HPV) virus. The first line of defense is making sure your immune system is healthy and actively protecting you. E3’s Immune Blend can help with that!
Warts can grow anywhere on the body, but common warts are most often found on the hands and plantar warts grow on the soles of the feet. Verrucas can also be foot warts that grow inwardly. You can recognize them by a black spot in the center of a painful area. An aromatherapeutic approach is an effective and non-invasive method for getting rid of warts. Plus it smells good and doesn’t leave scarring.
“Go Away Wart” Essential Oil Recipes
Create your anti-wart blend from the list of essential oils for warts from the list below and store the blend in a clean dropper bottle. Shake before using.
Blend essential oils. Dip in a clean Q-Tip each time. Apply undiluted to the wart at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, until the wart is gone. Cover with a bandaid.
Combine oils in a dropper bottle. Apply one to two drops on the inside of the bandage — I love the small round ones — and apply directly over the wart. Repeat until the wart disappears, this may take some time.
If treating a child with warts — under 12 years of age — always dilute essential oils. If over 12 years of age, no need to dilute.
Put ingredients in a clean bottle and shake well before each use.
Drop onto a Q-tip and apply to the affected area 2 or 3 times a day consistently, until the wart is gone.
